What is technical communication? Half art, half science, technical communication is much more than just writing software guides or maintenance manuals.

What does it take to become a technical author? You need more than just brains or beauty. You'll need some special qualities that they don't tell you about when you start in this business.

Something for the business card. We all seem to need a job title. Technical communicator? Technical author? Information designer? Why are people using different titles for essentially the same role?
